Polaroid Autofocus 660 is a landmark instant camera introduced by Polaroid in 1981. It was the very first model in the 600 series to feature Sonar Autofocus technology, holding an extraordinarily significant place in Polaroid history.

• Film Type: Uses Polaroid 600 film. The battery is built into the film pack, automatically refreshing the camera's power with every new pack loaded.

• Autofocus System:

  • Ultrasonic Emission: When you half-press the shutter button, the gold transducer emits an ultrasonic signal silent to the human ear.

  • Echo Delay Calculation: The wave bounces off the subject and is caught by the gold sensor/microphone. The camera's internal microcomputer calculates the time delay to determine the precise distance.

  • Internal Lens Selection: Based on the calculated distance, the camera automatically rotates one of 4 internal glass lens elements into place, achieving sharp focus from 0.6 m / 0.9 m (approx. 2 ft / 3 ft) to infinity.

• Flash: Features a built-in electronic flash with automatic firing and manual override/toggle options.

• Operation: Pop open the flash/body assembly on the top-front to power on the camera; press and fold it down when not in use to power off.
